8/14/06 01:01 am

I got nothing done today =(

When I got out of bed I had to call work, at which point they asked me to come in and work lunch. I was then there till 5pm. When I got home I soon after went out for dinner and after returning I wasted some time playing warcraft 3 and finished watching the last 4 eps of Inu Yasha that I downloaded. I was meant to get some uni work done today, like readings, assignment work and tute work. So overall, +1 day completely wasted. Though I do get money. Now if I could only buy some more hours.

8/9/06 01:23 am - Late night boredom wins again.

3 important things!

Got my 2gig memory stick for PSP, which means I can now take bigger games / more anime / more manga around with me.

Finished season 1 of Inu Yasha, in just a few days, I do that when something catches my interest, but if anime doesn’t then it goes unwatched for months, going into years, which is what most of the stuff I have is. So I am now downloading season 2. Inu Yasha was apparently made by the same person who made Ranma 1/2, which was one of my favorite manga (possibly my first one as well, hard to recall) and it shows a lot with the relationship between Inu Yasha/Kagome, very similar to Ranma/Akane. One day I'll get around to buying Ranma, looks like I might also have to buy Inu Yasha. Ever wonder what you will do with anime collection when you get older? I'm thinking assuming DVD's are still used, and I eventually have children I will pimp it to them.

Finally... I had some other news... Oh, got a link to chapters 1-740 of Harjime no Ippo manga, which is about boxing. When I was first told about the anime I didn't really have much interest in it because it was about boxing, but it was awesome. When I tried to tell friends about it they had the same initial reaction, but after seeing a few eps were hooked as well. So now I am getting the manga (assuming it maintains current speed will be done in 10hrs) so hopefully it will go beyond where the anime finished =D

In lesser news the house is getting painted, so I can not get near my computer until 3pm, not to mention the fumes take over most of the house, so I sleep in as much as possible then have to content myself with crappy daytime tv (you would think I would take the opportunity to go out, or get some uni reading done). However I did see question time in the House of Representatives today. I love politics, its fun watching them bicker. Makes me want to do more political subjects at Uni. I loved 'Government, Business and Society', but I think every other unit in my degree is already accounted for by management stuff so I don't think there are any free electives to follow up on that.

8/3/06 01:43 am - Because I should update more and this is what I was looking at on the net at the time.

This article gives an excellent review about what my current favorite manga, Iron Wok Jan, is about. Sometimes I buy stuff on impulse, this manga set me back a good $250+ in one week after initially reading 2-3 books, but I now have up to book 16, with 17 and 18 on order.

7/29/06 03:37 am

Time to sleep, got a big day of nothing tomorrow, don't want to sleep in. I should look at some of my textbook readings as well, if I dont do it this weekend there will be too much to catch up on and my brain will just say to much to read for the rest of the semester. I should also play some more Civilization 4 Warlords, must unify China under my rule...

But first, I need to find some food and finish reading my 3 new Iron Wok Jan books.

7/21/06 02:48 am - Uni

I was originally enrolled in 2 units this semester, because honestly, I wanted to be lazy. I did 3 last semester, which was nice and simple, but leads to parent agg for being slack. So I decided I should start being a full time student again, like my enrollment says I am and enrolled in 2 more tonight. Best part was that it still fits into my timetable, while I do need to wake up a bit earlier (10am lecture >.<) I still get it all on Monday and Friday. I do need to break my cycle of staying up till 5am, waking up around 2pm anyway. Today we had any number of tradesmen in our house, I heard nailguns, saws, hammers, misc loud things, all right outside my room, still kept sleeping on and off for 3hrs. The only problem that remains is that if I start playing World of Warcraft again like an addict, I will fail uni, but its not active at the moment. I just realised that its 2:30am, and I am technically meant to be at that lecture at 10. But there are no tutes week 1, so I might skip it because I don't want to be sitting around at uni until 6pm for the lecture at the end of the day.

In the first semester of going to uni (and tanks to some advice from current students) I realised that less days at uni are better, sure you can spread it out and do less work each day, but there is the added costs+time of going into and out of uni each day (30min each way+walking time and waiting for train, $3ish on ticket). Not to mention that I always get lunch there, and absolutely worst of all about a spread out timetable is having to go outside in the sun.

OMG its an update, zomga indeed. The topic that has made me decide to break my long silence is work! Restraunt. Busy night, feet sore, brain hurts, too many customer = too much work. At least I get tips and pay which I can spend on important things, like manga and my WoW subscription.

Rolled a new WoW char on a new server today, human warrior, got him to level 2 before leaveing for work. It is now 11:45, and there is a que of >2000 to login to this server, with an expected wait for 200+min. In other news I am hungry and tired and still have a headache. I might post something less angsty later.

4/14/06 01:40 am

ZOMG OMG ASDFGH!
New poets of the fall album is out. They are like the only music I have ever, I'll just repeat that, EVER, paid for.

4/2/06 03:24 am

Overall new job is good, though when it gets really busy there is just so much to remember and do all at once >.< although they canceled my shift tonight because they only had one booking. But then last week we had 2 bookings and the restaurant was overflowing.

I really need to start doing more uni work, but Oblivion is such a good game.

In WoW, my guild disbanded :( so lots of friends gone, and I have applied to a new guild and once again, the moment I speak for the first time over teamspeak I get comments about my accent. I find it odd how I can pick up how Australians and Americans sound different if I try to notice, but never if I am just having a conversation.

One one final point, I am such a camwhoreRead more... )

Not much else to mention / I want to go to bed and eat something while reading / playing PSP.

3/10/06 01:08 pm

Sooooo, after what must have been at least 2 months of pestering me to find another job, my mother finally took me out yesterday to hand in some resumes. I got a call back <24hrs later asking me to work tonight at a restaurant in Manly. So tonight I will be washing up / cooking possibly and tomorrow night I will be a waiter. So long as I can keep getting night shifts this is good as it means money and it won't conflict too much with WoW. Although I might have to cancel a LAN for this weekend =(

3/3/06 07:42 pm - Samboy Chips

I would like to say that I have come to terms with the fact that Samboy Chips have been discontinued. To be replaced with the vastly inferior Tasty Jacks. I had accepted that I might never see or taste them again. Then today, while I was buying some food for a 24hr binge of World of Warcraft event on Saturday I found some! So I bought them all. I expect them to last me a bit over a week.

2/16/06 12:18 am

So, WoW update, Razorgore down, Vael down. I have more gear than before. Decided to head towards a more mana /5sec build. I can possibly get 150mana / 5sec. This is an extra 1800 mana every min. Not bad when it works out over a 5min fight and I start the fight with 7-8k mana. On top of that I have my trinket that procs 2% of spells cast (sometimes more sometimes elss, had it proc 3 times in one min and then other times I dont see it proc for an hour or more), it regens about 1500 extra mana over 15sec. I can also down pots for a quick 1500 mana every 2min. So, the idea is, it will be very hard for me to run out of mana.

Other news.........

Oh yeah, Injustice is resetting. Now this is a basic browser based political(in the sence of who not to piss off and who you can boss aorund)/fighting(as much as text based can be) gangster/legit role playing game. It sucked me in once. After working 1 character up to high level after many months and then dieing I lost interest. Came back a few months later, did it again, big character, died over one possibly bad mistake (there is an LJ entry about that somewhere I think). Lost interest. Do I dare go back a 3rd time? This is a game that I can play passively while on the internet. At least, at first. It can however get to the point where I spent all day playing it, while doing stuff on the side when it should be the other way around.

I heard that valentines day was on recently. The day was almost over by the time I heard about it. I was raiding in World of Warcraft. Now because I play with an American guild, my brain is semi synched with that timezone. I can usually tell you what time it is there because I have had to wake up for raids set by their clock (OMG 8am >.<). So kinda in my mind I went through 2 Valentines days, yes, I'm starting to ramble. Anyway, we raided then as well. Some people were annoyed by this, but I am in a guild that raids 7 days a week, every week. We raided new years day, thanksgiving, and Superbowl (however the raid obviously didnt start until after the superbowl).

I go back to Uni in 2 weeksish (I think) so I have my classes set for afternoon / nighttime, on Monday and Tuesday (both relatively long days). Mainly for two reasons, I am awake more and work better at night, I hate mornings, and so I can still make WoW raids. meh, thats three reasons, I thought of an extra one while writing.

The general opinion of many of my friends/family/randoms is that I am wasteing my life / need to get a life / girlfriend. But I can't think of anything I would rather be doing with my time atm, and I have fun. So anyone that feels the need to pass judgement on what I do with my time can go die in a fire kthx =)

Oh yeah, I need a new icon... I dont like my current ones anymore.

Ragnaros dead - Best Day Ever!

Tomorrow we start Blackwing Lair.

12/24/05 03:26 pm

I am now unemployed.

I expect/hope this will last about 2-4 weeks so I can relax before getting another job.

Anyway no update in a while and I have been meaning to do one, but I dont feel like doing a 10,000 word update, so you get dot points.

- Raiding a lot in WoW, we have cleared MC up to Rag, downed Onyxia and Cleared all of Zul Gurab except for Jindo the Pimp (the boss is really called Jindo the Hexxar, but he is a troll, breakdanceing, and hundreds of danceing female trolls.)

- In a clan in Dystopia, tis good fun but need more opponents. Contrary to popular opinon I love friendly fire, makes it a lot harder to use grenade laucher effectively.

- Playing the new Prince of Persia game, this good fun. Might play it again, but there is nothing bonus for me to unlock...

- Did ok in Uni this year

- Want to quit my job so bad, been on the verge of it a few times at work. ONly thing I would miss is loseing contact with all the people there, and the money, but that is much easier to replace.

- Work had a christmas party with free booze. I stayed home and played WoW. I easily got the better deal (I was also working the night of the party and the next morning)

- Got a few epics in WoW

- Shanka is a legend

- Had fish and chips for dinner

- I have run out of Coke. Went like 4 days without coke. 2 of those days I got headache, and got very tired. = I need caffine to function properly.

World of Warcraft Priest is now level 54. Will update again when he is 60. I am hopeing this will be withing a week.

10/14/05 07:14 am

I have now been awake a bit over an hour and have had about 120mg of caffine. Need to leave for Uni in 1hr and after that have work. Wont be home till a bit over 12hours later. Currently I am working on a speech for Uni that I should have done yesterday, or even the day before. However Black and White 2, Dystopia and World of Warcraft got in the way. Its so much fun being an evil god in B&W2, if only my people would stop whineing about my creature eating them, or not having enough food, and wanting time off work and wanting sleep.

Now have a 1GB memory stick for my PSP, managed to fit 3 albums and 4 eps and a music video on it. Now I have something to do on the train :D Back to work and brekfast now. No time to spellcheck...

9/29/05 11:16 am

I started watching a new anime called Hajime no Ippo. Its all about a guy who does boxing. They do a great job of getting you into the fights, which are always intense. Makes me think, wow, thats awsome, I want to be a boxer. But then they also focus a lot on how beaten up he is after fights and all the intense training he has to do every single day, so I think I'll stick to computer games.

One of the best bits about it is a lot of his opponents get character development, sometimes I was torn between who I wanted to win.

Anyway, time to try and get some work done.
